In order to apply to become a member of the UACP, you must meet the following requirements. Please initial next to each requirement to indicate you have completed the requirement and attach the necessary documents that certify you have completed the requirement.

If you are applying as a provisional member, your initials indicate that you agree to completing requirements 2-5 within 24 months of your application approval in order to retain your membership in the UACP.

1. Membership in good standing in the administrative body regulating and governing lawyers in your own jurisdiction.

2. At lease 12 hours of basic Collaborative Law training or Interdisciplinary Collaborative training. (Provide only once.)

3. At least one 30-hour training in client centered, facilitative conflict resolution, of the kind typically taught in mediation training (interest based, narrative or transformative mediation programs). (Provide only once)

4. In addition to the above, an accumulation or aggregate of 15 further hours of training in any of the following areas (Provide only once):

Interest-based negotiation training
Communication skills training
Collaborative training beyond minimum twelve hours of Initial Collaborative training
Advanced mediation training
Basic professional coach training

5. 8 hours of continuing collaborative specific training to be completed every two years to coincide with you MCLE reporting year. You will be asked to provide a certificate or other proof of completion of training in your reporting year in one of the following areas:

Collaborative training
Interdisciplinary collaborative training
Mediation training
Interest-based negotiat
